<description>
UNB openned their 2008/09 season on the road against UPEI. This is second year in a row that UNB has openned on the road versus UPEI (last year they won 4-3). This year UNB scored first, but had to come from behind twice in the third period to tie the game 3-3 and force OT, their last goal coming with an empty net at 19:31. UNB would fail to capitalize on there 4-3 Powerplay and would lose a few minutes later when UPEI was on the powerplay (UNB too many men). UNB out shot UPEI 31-21.
&lt;p>
This game saw the return of Robert Pearce and Dion Campbell.
