Ring #1 - 1998 - Saskatoon

UNB had lost in the previous year's final to Guelph. With most of the team returning from the previous year, UNB rolled through the season with a record of 24-3-1-0 (a team record) and 49 pts. UNB was routed 9-4 in game 1 of their series vs UPEI, at the AUC, but the team regrouped and won game 2 on the road 4-2 and game 3 at home 5-4. UNB won the MacAdam Division in two games over STU and then won the AUAA title 2-1 over Acadia. They lost game 1 on the road 2-1 but returned to the AUC and won back-2-back games 3-2 OT1 and 3-2. Both teams would go to Natioanls as this was the first year of the new expanded 6-team format.

UNB was in a pool with Windsor and Alberta while Acadia was in the other Pool. Both teams would go 2-0 and advance to the finals.

Finals: UNB 6 vs Acadia 3

The Ring
The ring was designed by Josten's representative Pat Tyre and coach Mike Kelly. One side has the University Cup and the player's name and the other side has the AUAA Trophy and the title "AUAA Champs". More on UNB's first championship ring.

Ring #2 - 2007 - Moncton

UNB finished second behind Moncton with a record of 18-7-0-3 and had a first-round bye. They defeated St. FX 3-1 in the semi-finals on the strength of winning games 1 & 2 at home. UNB was 1-2-1 vs Moncton this season and the AUS finals continued the winning streak for Moncton, winning the best of 3 in two straight, but the games were close 4-2 and 3-2 OT2. UNB would advance to the University Cup as a wild-card as Moncton was also that year's host.

UNB was in a pool with Saskatchewan and UQTR. UNB won both games and advanced to play Moncton who was also 2-0

The Ring
The ring has the "UNB" monogram along with the 'swoosh' on top of a stylized University Cup. On one side is the time of the OT goal and the score. The other side has the University Cup, the players name and the phrase "it's time".

Ring #3 - 2009 - Thunder Bay

UNB finished 1st in the AUS with a record of 21-4-0-3 and another first round bye. They defeated Acadia in the Semi-finals in three straight, but faultered vs SMU in the finals. UNB won the first game at home 5-1, but lost on the road and lost game three at the AUC 5-1. The result as a runner-up finish and a University Cup wild-card birth.

UNB was in a pool with Alberta and Lakehead. Alberta was the #1 seed and their first opponent. UNB would score 5 goals in the first and win 6-3. They would win their second game 3-1 and advance to the finals with a 2-0 record vs Western who was 1-1 (the second 1-1 tie-breaker team to advance to the finals).

The Ring
The base of the ring is silver with the "UNB" monogram on top of a stylized University Cup. On one side is the year, score and CIS logo in gold - the other side has a gold UNB jersey and the players name.

Ring #4 - 2011 - Fredericton

UNB finished 1st in the AUS again for the 4 straigh time. They defeated Acadia 3-1 in the best of 5 Semi-finals which included the longest game in AUS history (Nick MacNeil scored in game 2 at the 121:53 mark). UNB would win the AUS title in 5 games vs St. FX. G5 was won in overtime - captain Kyle Bailey scored, on the powerplay, in the OT1.

UNB was in a pool with Calgary and Western. UNB scored with 4.1 seconds against Calgary to win 2-1. They went on to win 4-0 over Western and 4-0 over McGill (2-0) in the final.

The Ring
The ring was crafted by Baron with gold as the base. The UNB hockey logo is on the top with four rubys (the number four was prevelant in UNB's victory; 4-0 in the finals, the program's 4th championship, the winning goal was scored by #4 Luke Gallant, who was in his 4th year and was selected as tournament MVP. On one side is the the name "Varisty Reds" and banner with CIS and AUS logos. The other side has the player's name, the University Cup with the numbers 42-9 which was their overall record that season. UNB's write-up on the ring.

Ring #5 - 2013 - Saskatoon

UNB finished 1st in the AUS again for the 6th straight time. They defeated UPEI 3-1 rallying with 2 straigh wins after a split at home. UNB would win the AUS title 2-1 over SMU with two shutout wins at home by Dan LaCosta in games 1 & 3.

UNB was in a pool with Saskatchewan and UQTR. UNB won both games for 2-0 record and advanced to play SMU who had won their pool with a 1-1 record and the mathematical tie-breaker over Alberta and Waterloo. LaCosta would blank SMU again in the final 2-0 with a first period goal by Daine Todd and an empty net goal in the dieing seconds by Tyler Carroll.

Finals: UNB 2 vs St. Mary's 0

The Ring
The ring was crafted by Baron with silver as the base. A gold University Cup is in the face with a stylized 'V Reds'. On one side is the players name and number with the CIS and AUS logos while the other side shows the year, a UNB Hockey jersey and the years of the other 4 championships.

Ring #6 - 2016 - Halifax

UNB finished 1st in the AUS again for the 9 straight year. They swept UPEI in round one 3-0, but lost two straight to St. FX to lose the AUS banner. UNB would advance to Nationals as a wild-card.

This was the second year of the new 8-team single elimnation play-down format. UNB was seeded 5th and played #4 Western in game 1. They would advance to play St. Mary's in the Semi's and then St. FX in the finals.

The Ring
The ring was crafted by Josten's from silver. The face has the University Cup and UNB Hockey logo all in diamonds. On one side is the 1989 UNB Red Devils logo with the devil in red as well as little banners for the previous 5 championships and the season record of 37-6-3. The other side has the player's name, a red "V" and "REDS" underneath that.

Ring #7 - 2017 - Fredericton

UNB finished 1st in the AUS again for the 10 straight year. After a 1st round bye, they defeated SMU 3-1 in four games to advance to the AUS Finals vs St. FX. They lost 2 straight to St. FX (game one 1 the AUC and game 2 on the road) and would be the AUS Consolation seed.

UNB was University Cup host this year and it was the third year of the new 8-team single elimnation play-down format. UNB was seeded 5th and played #4 Queen's in game 1. They would advance to play Acadia in the Semi's and then Saskatchewan in the finals.

The ring was crafted by Josten's from silver. The face has two University Cups and the UNB Hockey logo (in red). One side has the players name and along the top the seasons UNB has won University Cups.
